The new Thirtyseven4 EDR Security BitLocker Encryption Management feature allows central management of BitLocker encryption policies, keys, and recovery options, ensuring robust data security and compliance with regulatory requirements. A Thirtyseven4 EDR Security encryption policy lets you encrypt sensitive data and protect it from unauthorized access. This new feature helps mitigate unauthorized data access by performing volume encryptions using MS BitLocker.
In event BitLocker management is being utilized by Active Directory (AD), here’s how Thirtyseven4 works alongside AD enabled encryption policies:
Scenario: BitLocker encryption is enabled on a device, either through AD or manually.
Thirtyseven4 Agent Installation:
- Once the Thirtyseven4 EDR Security Client Agent is installed, and the administrator enables encryption from the EDR Security Management Console under ‘Policies’
- The agent will first decrypt any existing encrypted drives.
- Upon successful decryption, Thirtyseven4 EDR Security initiates its own encryption of the drives.
- The encryption keys used by Thirtyseven4 are stored securely on the Thirtyseven4 EDR Security
- These stored keys can be retrieved from the Thirtyseven4 EDR Security console for recovery purposes if needed.
This process ensures a smooth transition to Thirtyseven4’s BitLocker Encryption Management while prioritizing data security.
By decrypting existing drives and then re-encrypting them with Thirtyseven4’s keys, the solution offers centralized control and visibility over an organization’s encryption strategy.
