Yes, we are offering this service as a free offering to the entire laptop using community (all laptop users).
3. If a Hard Drive is stolen laptop and gets formatted, is it be possible for Thirtyseven4's Laptop Tracking service to trace the laptop?
Yes, for Thirtyseven4 Antivirus users if the hard drive of the stolen laptop is formatted, we will store the MAC ID of the stolen laptop in our database. If someone purchases the stolen laptop and installs Thirtyseven4 on the laptop, then during activation / updates, the database identifies the MAC ID as stolen and sends a report containing the IP address and the corresponding city of the IP address.
For non-Thirtyseven4 users, if the hard drive of the stolen laptop is formatted, then if you had registered your laptop as stolen with its MAC ID's we will already have this information stored in our central database, and in the event of the laptop being recovered, we can verify the MAC ID.
